The Cambridgeshire Short Mat Bowls Association on behalf of The English Short Mat Bowls Association held the qualifying Pairs rounds of the ESMBA 2016/17 National Championships at the MIBC on the 13 August 2016. The results were as follows:-
Eight pairs split into two groups of four played three Round Robin rounds of nine ends.

Doreen Butcher and Josie Charter will therefore represent Cambridgeshire in the National Pairs Final at Melton Mowbray in April 2017.
