On Saturday 2 November two teams from Doddington travelled to Letchworth for a charity triples competition. Alongside teams from Letchworth, Stowford, St Margarets, Shillington and Northiam each triple played four games and ironically when the results for the final were announced it was Doddington 1 and 2 who played each other. After a very enjoyable last game the runners up were Doreen Butcher, Jeff and Jackie Saunders and the winners Rosemary Cooper, Linda White and Joe Peters.
This was the third year of the competition and the organisers were able to donate over £360 to the Air Ambulance. A lovely day with a worthwhile outcome.
