The first Open Fours competition for some years was played at the March IBC on Saturday 11 June attracting twelve teams, several from neighbouring counties and it was some of these visitors who successfully carried off the spoils.
In first place winning all five games and a prize of £100 was the Norfolk Team skipped by Tony Turner with 10 points +35 shots. In second spot and a prize of £60 was again a Norfolk Team skipped by Mike Boswell who scored 9 points +39 shots. In third place with £40 prize money was the Suffolk Team skipped by Richard Paddy who had 9 points +11 shots.
