The ESMBA have introduced a new Pairs competition for the Over 55s and the qualifier was held on 17 October at MIBC. With an entry of 10 teams the competition was run in two groups of 5 with the winners of both groups and the two highest runners-up in those groups progressing to the semi-final and final. The eventual winners were Gerry Russell and Joe Peters with Janet and John Goff in second place and Rob Bonello and Gwen Siggee in third. The full results were as follows:-

Congratulations to Gerry and Joe who will now play in the Nationals on 8 April 2018 at Tamworth. We will wait to see out allocation of places as more than one team may represent Cambridgeshire.
