Cambridgeshire Ladies played at Daventry against the England and Northamptonshire Ladies. This was a new venture for the team playing in a mixed format against three other teams with the England ladies being split into two groups.
Jayne Thorpe felt that the Cambridgeshire Ladies had greatly improved and had now gelled together and were playing considerably better. Although the England ladies beat us (as expected) we triumphed over the newly formed Northamptonshire team which was led by Suzanne Gunter. Cambridgeshire are due to play Northamptonshire home and away next year.
The overall result was England North - 26 points +39 shots, England South - 24 points +52 shots, Cambridgeshire - 12 points -39 shots and Northamptonshire 10 points -52 shots.
