There were only eight entries for the triples this year with three of the teams opting not to play in the National Qualifier. The winners of the competition were Wayne Locke, Geoff Ward and Barry Fox with Rob Bonello, Gwen Siggee and Jayne Thorpe in second place and Rosemary Cooper, Linda White and Joe Peters in third.
The winners had not entered for the Nationals so the results for the second and third placed teams were submitted to the ESMBA along with the team of Gerry Russell, Colin Buck and Rosemary Richardson who had come fourth.
