Match Report - 23 Feb 2025, Cambridgeshire Short Mat Bowls County Premier Team lost to Open double rinks
At the ESMBA double rinks ( fours) competition on February 23rd 2025 8 players took part against 16 other counties in a double rinks knockout.
In our group we played Hertfordshire, Doorset and Northamptonshire, all the games were over 10 ends.
The score from each team were added together to give a combined total for each round.
Our first team won 2 drew 1 with the other team playing well won 2 lost 1.
Overall we came second in our group, as a county we played very well against very strong opposition.
If we had only been able to get that extra point we would have been in the semi finals.
It was a good end to a very frustrating season.
