A total of 18 teams entered the county championship pairs competition on bonfire night, 9 of which entered the national qualifier.
The teams were split into 2 groups of 5 and 2 groups of 4 a format required by the ESMBA rules on national championships qualifying events. All teams in each group played each other to determine group placings.
The top two teams from each group went forward to play in a quarter final knock out round and so on to the final stages.
Overall, a very good day of bowls enjoyed by all.
A big thank you to those members who contributed to the raffle prizes and those who purchased tickets. A total of £72.00 profit was made from the raffle alone.
Following all costs and deductions a profit of £74.50 was made towards association funds.
