County Championship Triples and National Qualifier held at MIBC on 4th December 2022
A total of 14 teams entered the county championship triples competition, 5 of which entered the national qualifier.
The teams were split into 2 groups of 5 and 1 group of 4 a format required by the ESMBA rules on national championships qualifying events. All teams in each group played each other to determine group placings. The top two teams from each group went forward to play in a quarter final knock out round and so on to the final stages.
A really good day of short mat bowls enjoyed by all.
A big thank you to those members who contributed to the raffle prizes and those who purchased raffle tickets. A profit of £92.00 was made from the raffle alone thanks to Maureen Bell, Joanne Locke and the band of helpers
Following all costs and deductions including the ESMBA entry fees an overall profit of £104.17 was made towards association funds.
Some very close scores indeed as can be seen below.
