Match Report - 22 Jun 2025, Cambridgeshire Short Mat Bowls County Premier Team drew with Hertfordshire SG1 1LZ
On Sunday 22nd June we played our annual friendly against Hertfordshire . The Herts players welcomed
us to their ICC venue at a local sports centre.
Due to holidays and prior engagements we were a few players short so Herts loaned a few of theirs.
We played an ICC double header with a slightly different format than usual, playing singles and fours
in the first round followed by pairs and triples.
We won the firs session 24/16 but lost the second 7/21. A special mention to one of our young players, who made his county debut and showed great promise. It was a lovely day with a very friendly atmosphere between the two counties. Hopefully we can arrange a home game against them in the near future.
