Triples County Championship
(Sunday 14th December 2025)
This year we had 12 teams battling it
out for the triples county championship. Unfortunately we could not
run this particular event as a joint national qualifier (NQ) as we
had insufficient teams electing to enter the NQ.
The minimum number for NQ events is 4 x teams.
Likewise the corresponding under 18’s
singles championship that we ran at the same event last year
attracted no entries. This is very disappointing particularly as the
entry fee was to be waived and met from CSMBA funds.
We changed the format for the triples
this year and all 12 team via open draw played 5 rounds each of 8
live ends.
This format resulted in the top two
teams playing in the final.
The final placings were confirmed as
follows:-
1st TEAM 3 : Jayne Thorpe,
Rob Bonello & Billy Chapman
2ndTEAM 6 : Lynn Boddye,
Linda White & Joe Peters.
3rd TEAM 9 : Charlie Rate,
Peter Gary & Brian Beecham
Following a very successful raffle a
total of £164.66 was credited to CSMBA funds from this event.
